Quiet hours & sending limits
YURN enforces its messaging rules in the delivery pipeline itself — not in the compose screen’s fine print. This page explains the three limits that shape when and how much you can send.
Quiet hours: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM, customer-local
Section titled “Quiet hours: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM, customer-local”No message leaves YURN before 9:00 AM or after 8:00 PM in the customer’s timezone — not yours. We derive each follower’s timezone from their phone’s area code, falling back to your business timezone when the area code is ambiguous.
The enforcement point matters: quiet hours are checked at the send queue, per recipient, at the moment of dispatch. A single send to an audience spanning time zones fans out correctly — your New York followers can get the text at 9:15 AM while the same message holds for your California followers until their 9:00 AM.
Deferral
Section titled “Deferral”If you schedule a send that would land outside the window — or an approved offer finishes review at 8:30 PM — the affected messages are deferred to the next open window, not dropped and not sent anyway. You’re told at compose time when this will happen, so an “8pm tonight” flash offer scheduled at 7:58 doesn’t silently arrive at 9am tomorrow.
Practical tip: offers with same-evening expiries should be composed by mid-afternoon. Review takes seconds, but the send window is a hard wall.
Monthly send caps
Section titled “Monthly send caps”| Free | Pro | |
|---|---|---|
| Sends per month | 2 | 8 |
A “send” is one offer fanned out to your audience, whatever its size. The caps aren’t arbitrary: they’re set where audiences stay responsive. SMS is a high-attention channel precisely because it’s low-volume — the merchant who texts twice a month gets read; the one who texts daily gets muted, then stopped. The cap is protecting your list from you, a little.
Caps reset on the first of each month and unused sends don’t roll over.
Opt-out-rate thresholds
Section titled “Opt-out-rate thresholds”Every merchant’s opt-out rate (STOPs per messages sent, rolling 30-day window) is monitored continuously:
| Throttle | Suspend | |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 2% | 4% |
| Pro | 3% | 6% |
- Throttle slows your sending rate automatically and flags the account for attention. It’s a warning shot with teeth.
- Suspend halts sending entirely and requires a manual review to lift.
Free-tier thresholds are stricter because Free merchants share YURN’s sending number and reputation — one merchant’s spam-adjacent behavior degrades deliverability for every other Free merchant. Pro merchants send on their own registered number, so they get more room while still being protected from burning their own list.
If you’re approaching a threshold, the fix is almost always relevance and frequency: better offers, less often, to people who actually asked. See writing offers that clear review.
